沈予加："Geopolitics should not muddle South Pacific"

7月23日，我中心沈予加博士在Global Times上发表文章“Geopolitics should not muddle South Pacific”。

文章指出，“China's growing presence in the Pacific island countries, especially in the Melanesian states including Papua New Guinea (PNG), has attracted Australia's attention in the past few years.” 文章强调：“China's presence has undoubtedly opened up more economic opportunities for this region. China and Australia share the same goal in a sense that a prosperous Asia Pacific benefits all…With a more collaborative and less cold-war-like mind-set, China and Australia may take a more constructive approach to work together in this region, which is home to some least developed countries.”
